Coverage leans toward Jacksonville (6 listings), Miami (5) and Tampa (3), with the rest split among St. Petersburg, Davie and Doral for 25 shops statewide. Call the shop before you buy to confirm it stocks the scale, gauge or kit your grandfather's hobby actually uses, and ask about hours, lead time on special orders and whether it ships out of state.

## Does 25 listings mean these are all the model and hobby shops in Florida?

No. The count is what this directory had published as of September 14, 2026, weighted toward Jacksonville, Miami and Tampa, so it is a starting list rather than a census of every shop in the state. Smaller towns and stores without a web presence may be missing. Confirm stock, hours and ordering options with the shop itself before you travel or ship a gift.
